For several years I've been posting photo's through one of the free sites, the Globe, and they just went belly up. Can someone suggest another for me that won't flood my life with junk mail or an abundance of banners?

Rick, I use virtualave.net

If you aren't worried about banner ads and pop up windows it's free. I use it mostly for posting pictures on the bullboard. You can pay $10/month to lose the advertisements.

Never received any junk mail from them.

Amy, my local ISP wants $5 a month for 25 megs of space for homepages. I've been finding alot of photo's can fit in 5 for free. That's what I want again.

you might wanna try catalog.com. They offer free, bannerless web hosting - if - you buy your domain thru them. Which isnt a bad deal at all.

tripod.com isnt bad for the totally free, but you do have the banner ad thing. Still, I've never seen them send out any 'junk mail' to their users. Might want to use a BS address for the sign-up part, but I wouldnt worry about it. They seem pretty hands-off about the whole deal.

There is also homestead.com, but I hear they've cut back on the space limits.

If you've got an aol account, thats 5mb per screename, which is 7 per account now.

For the pay-for-space webhosts, I'm still pretty happy with interscot.com. I've had several sites there over the years and for $13 a month (500mb space, 5gb transfer) its pretty hard to beat, especially with comprehensive and timely support.

hope that all helps some way.

A few years bac I tried the Tripod sites. I found that several folks on this board could not get the links to work right to show photos here that are posted on the Tripod sites.

I also need a site that allows me to FTP several photo's at a time.

Do any of you have a proven site for this stuff?
