Got a call Tuesday from the guy that runs our little league (that I do signs on the side for), he says he's into a new business venture and would I like to make some money ... duh ... ok ... meet him Wed. at the Holiday Inn ... duh ...ok. So I show up at scheduled time with tape measure, paper, pen, etc. in hand. Leads me to a room with a couple dozen overly perky people (I hate overly perky)... introduces me to a few so they can "tell me thier story" Coincidence... all the people had great jobs that they gave up when they found "this" (what is "this"??? I'll have to wait till the presentation .... presentation????) Turns out to be some quasi-pyramid scheem to be a "sales rep" for Excel comunications. So here I am, long haired, tattoo'd freak in jeans and tank top still covered in ink from earlier in the day laughing out loud as the perky docker wearing links lovers start the overly perky presentation (I hate overly perky)...pay a hundred to get in, sign up customers, bring in more sales reps(suckers)... BWAHAHAHAHA ... SEE YA
Guess ya had to be there ... was a very surreal experience ... but good for a laugh
Isn't it FUNNY that they don't tell you the deal in the first place over the phone while talking to you?

A friend of ours got into this. He came and sold us on Excell. We signed up. It was a good deal, and on that basis the sale was made. As time went on, their bills were confusing and AT&T offered a much better deal. We switched back. Our friend was almost pleading with us to not do this, and laid this mini trip on me about how he needed me to stay with his company to help his daughter through college. We've re defined the friendship again and are friends without the pyramid between us.
