i got a audio reciever, the turntable is connected to it...run rca cable from the back of reciever to your sound card LINE IN which is a single stereo din plug(youll need to go to radio shack and get wire and adapters $23.00 for me)now you got the sound coming to your computer. heres where it gets tough...you need a program LIKE SOUND FORGE, & A PLUG IN LIKE, NOISE REDUCTION 2.0 and this soft wear alone is close to $500.00 priced from their web page. i got the demo versions...just to see if its what i need. iam playin with it but dont think iam gona spend $500 for their product. so after you get s/w then you need to record the whole alblum to your hard drive then run it thur cleanup soft wear...then you can burn to cd....and you need at least a 30-80 gig h/d to do this...and with my computer many hours with computer tied up processing sound. only reason iam lookin at this hennie has alblums that go back to early 60's (groups like MANDRILL)and most arent being reproduced in cd format...

Try this software, under $100. I didn't read all of the info, but I believe there is a demo available too.

You can do no better than Sound Forge(www.soundforge.com), although it is a bit pricey. Most of what you hear in today's games, movies and other multimedia events gets handled in this program.

If you're going to be burning your old records into CD's, Roxio (www.roxio.com) has Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum. One of the apps in this suite is a sound editor just for the task you have. Most CDR drives these days come with the older version (then called Adaptec Easy CD Creator), and it should have 'disc doctor' as part of it as well.

looks good dave ill d/l it an look-see thanx got cd creator 4.0 but not the delux version that has the spin doctor....got music match jukebox and nero 5.0 both work really good for brunin..this is all new stuff to me...but fun to learn....was playin with sound forge last nite...all the things you can do to existing mp3 is awesome....like prince little red corvette,,you can barley hear his voice, with the EQ mode you can pullup his voice and make it sound 100% better....
