For the past couple days, we have been having all sorts of problems accessing Letterville. When we can get here, it is so slow, that doing anything is just plaim frustrating.

After a billion phone calls to out server and Bell Sympatico, the problem seems to be in a router along the route. This may be affecting other DSL users in Canada as Bell is the ultimate source of all DSL connections in this country. We know Dave Grundy is also having the same problem.

Until we can get this worked out, there is a couple solutions anyone this is affecting can try.

1. Use your old 56K connection. Right now, it is far faster than DSL.

2. The one sharp tech guy they have at Sympatico turned me on to a website called www.safeweb.com When I use this website to access Letterville, it works great; just like normal. Could be we are bypassing the crappy router using this option.

I apoligize if all of this is affecting your enjoyment of Letterville. I hope they can get things fixed before everyone at Sympatico knocks off for the weekend. Ain't monopolys great?

Steve,
I heard on the news that the internet service on the east coast has been affected by the train fire in the tunnel. There were fiber optic lines that ran along the top of the tunnel that have been damaged. Think this could possibly be your problem?

Yes Steve..I am using Safeweb to access the site and it works fine...Just an extra step in accessing but it is a good alternative until things get back to normal.
