Have 300 (approx.) teddy bears with ribbons. Need to put the word "Patches" on one side of the ribbon and the words "West Park Plaza" on the other side of the ribbon. Not much space, 2" long by 1/2" tall for each side. My vinyl cutter won't cut that small. Anybody have a vinyl cutter that will cut that small of letters who would like to give me a price (cut/weeded and ready to apply)? Will be either black or white in color. Thanks.

Cutting & weeding that small would certainly be a pain. Can you remove the ribbon or is it not even on the bears yet? If you can remove it you might try getting a screen printer to put the words on as 300 might be easier and MUCH cheaper for them to do. It's always cheaper to do mass quantities with screen printing over vinyl anyday.

are you talking Helvetice bold or caslon italic... big difference. I cut 1/2" letters all the time for directory signs. Let me know what font and Ill shoot you a price.

Embroidery is what you want in this case...or have a rubber stamp made and use the appropriate ink. I don't think vinyl is appropriate in this application. ------------------ Mario G. Lafreniere aka Fergie.

Wow: this makes me curious about two things. How does Howard have such magic? Like,I want that plotter, if you know what I mean or who sells that vinyl?
The other is that any ribbon I've ever screened would not be suitable for being screened double faced and remain legible. And if the ribbons are already around the bears' necks I would turn the job down in a flash and say next time talk to me about the fabric and production beforehand.
Am I being simplistic, or am I just missing something?

Hot-Stamped with gold or other foils Fairly inexpensive and sets up easy for short runs. Very common on awards, nametags, other promotional items

I cut that small of letters all the time, but, vinyl on ribbon? isn't there a safety issue with this? screen print would be the way to go.

I would like to suggest pad-printing, the inks are durable and yet such a minute ammount is used that double-sided shouldn't be a problem. It is also inexpensive! GOODLUCK!

Thanks All. Problem solved. Had to go (a size larger) "paper" ribbon to get letters to stick and that solved letter size also. Did have several people who could cut the small letters for me, or gave me another solution. Again many Thanks to those who worked this out with me.
