Got a call last Saturday and it was our friend Henry Barker from Sweden he is over here in the UK visiting family, what a great guy and he has a lovely wife. Turns up in a double cab Chevy pickup nicely striped and lettered, a real head turner over here, not many US pickups seen in deepest Dorset.
After talking shop for a couple off hours his wife was getting a little bored, its what we call a busmans holiday!!!
So watch out fellow Uk letterheads Henrys on tour and it maybe your shop next!

It was great to meet you Adrian, the Princess of Scandinavia docked, in Gothenburg yesterday evening, and we drove back up here to Stockholm, 3.5 weeks went really quickly, its always fun to meet people for real.....it produces alsorts of surprises.....good surprises, people get judged far too quickly, from small replies on this board at times.

We actually tried to keep the sign talk to a minimum, I called in on a couple of other small shops and ordered a whole load of stuff from A.S Handover, which I brought back, all but a couple of new Hansee pounce pads, I have some small plastic pads and a wooden one but they have had trouble obtaining more from the US??...so if anybody has a reliable source?

Adrian has a great looking shop, well layed out, plenty of space and does some interesting work, both dimensional and painted pub signs together with the usual vinyl assortment. I was really pleased to see the "British" flavour in AMAL when i got back last night too , that was a treat for me.

I was down in deepest Cornwall with my sister after being with Adrian,( I walked into a shop there a couple of years ago, where John Sudden, LA Signs and Graphics had worked years ago....makes the world a small place!!) Then off up to Mid WAles to where I used to live, for a little over a week, I met up with Hughie of Hughies Signs Hereford, or at least his son this trip. Then we travelled up to my stepmother in Northumberland, before leaving on the ship on Monday. It feels strange to be back home, still just got wait for 6 rolls of film to come back.
