I was always a big fan of the comic panel Dennis the Menace, and on June 1st, Hank Ketcham, the creator of that comic passed away. The thing I am wondering is what happened to his real life son Dennis, who was the basic inspiration for the cartoon.
Hank Ketcham would never talk much about his son, other than to say they were estranged for many years. In his autobiography, he only mentions that Dennis was put into a boarding school at 12, graduated, and went into the marines where he served in vietnam for 10 months. That's the most I can find out. Anyone ever read anything about this?
