I was asked yesterday about having some face masks (with sticks) made for a birthday party. Apparently there will be around 300 people there and the wife wants to have some fun. I 've seen them before at sporting events and the like but don't have a clue: 1) Where to get them made 2) What type of cost to tell the wife 3) What type of lead time is required Any ideas? I don't know what type of budget she has but for something cheap she could take his mug over to kinkos and have him put is face on the copy machine. I

For a party, ink jet speed mode with a clearcoat to seal the ink should do it.
If you are doing famous people, Anchorblanks has a special on Pierre face masks. They cost a little more, but they are clearcoated with Pelucid. Nyuk Nyuk. Vic G

I met a lady at the Chamber of Commerce Breakfest and it's her husband so no famous amos. I like the idea of just doing it with an ink jet. Making a good print and then going to Kinkos for color copies might work pretty good on some card type stock. The only thing I don't really care to do is cut out the head and eyes 300 times (people coming to the party) and find small sticks to staple the pictures to.
Now about those Pierre masks... Are they autographed and will be worth alot in 5 yrs like some baseball cards???

You make the a cut pattern out of 3mm pvc and then have your lowest paid employee razor them out with the pattern. Or give her the copies and the pattern and let her cut them out - after all, you are saving her money if she does the cutting? Just a thought. Vic G

Brian, Victor's reply about using PVC sparked my memory a bit. 3M makes an Edge printable thin PVC that you could print and plot. It would certainly be more expensive than a Kinko's copy, but you wouldn't have to cut out each one. I ran it through my edge quote program and came out with about $7 each plus art. Good Luck
