Whats your favorite product(s) that you use in your shop often and now, you can't believe how you got along without before you discovered it????

For me there are Two, Rapid Prep, I worry now sometimes about the jobs I did before I started using it, questions like "Did I really get the surface clean enough"???

The other is "Frog Juice", I love this stuff, I use it on alot of things, mostly for UV protection.

This is not a comercial for any product, just my opinion, Whats your's????

The most valuable tool I use on a day to day basis is one of those illuminated "pocket microscopes" you find at Radio shack. They are absolutely indispensable for checking the condition of cutter blades, saving hours of mis-directed troubleshooting. 90% of all cutting problems are the fault of bad blades for one reason or another, never mind what brand of cutter or vinyl. It costs about $8.
Good investment.

Hmmmmmm...

Mahl stick.....for poking people who get in your way when lettering a window.

3 inch rollers.....for putting a nice wide stipe down the front of the next person who says "Gee, I can't even draw a straight line with a ruler!"

Utility knife.....for sliceing off the shoelaces of the people that get in your way when lettering a door.

Wiping rags (soaked with paint and thinner.....to place on a chair or stool when a "rubbernecker" want to sit and watch.

Garlic bread.....used when a "Cheepo Charlie" wants to argue about price.

This is a sweet little contraption.
I had come up with the concept of building something like this but was looking through a tool catalog and, low and behold, Porter Cable had already invented it.
It uses four sizes of drums, has variable speed, and it oscillates.

Howard, I have been using a magnifying glass for checking my plotter blades and it just doesn't cut it. I'm going to drop by Radio Shack and check that out.

RAPID TAC!! As a newbie I was really having a problem applying the vinyl. (I'm one of those hopeless perfectionists) I taught myself how to use my cutter & program and learned how to apply on the net. Stupid huh? Well I found this place and all has been uphill since. I cannot imagine what I would do without my Rapid Tac products or coffee pot.
