The site that you referenced (www.wide-format-printers.org) is a terrific resource for persons interested in gaining objective information on many areas of large-format printers, most specifically inkjet printers.

They publish a series of reports that are available free of charge on many aspects of this dynamic topic, including reports on specific printers and general technologies (i.e. dye-based/ pigment-based/ solvent-based inks). They are expanding their focus to include sign printing as well as fine art and traditional process color output.
