Sintra? I've heard mixed opinions on this question. My client wants a Sintra sign with vinyl lettering coated with DuPont Automotive Polyurethane Clear. Will this work? The sign will be exterior and about three blocks from the Pacific Ocean.

Yo....Louis! Where you been, Man? I assume aut0-clear would, but I KNOW that Pelucid will, and it'll sure outlast the eurethane.
You can get your fingernail through the eurethane and mess with the copy, but you'll break 'em off trying to get through Pelucid.

Yes, it will "stick" with the right prep work. But...
I have had poor results with sintra as a substrate either painted, plain, cleared or whatever when exposed to the sun and sea. It tends to warp into shapes that even the artdeco crowd can't love. But...
Your results may vary.

Auto Clear on Sintra will work..Even if you use a Aresol Bomb!!!! Light to final misting.. Never a heavy coat all at once! Cross hatching on the coats!

Seems to me that by the time you purchase all the products you've described...for the same money you could buy a good exterior product like Dibond or something similar then apply the vinyl letters and forget the clear.
I really think you'd be further ahead!

Whilst on the subject of clears - just a quick one for Pierre. Do you have a stockist for pelucid in theUK?. It sounds like good tackle. Does it come in colours as well as the clear?

Hey, David! I'll call the factory this morning and find out. Pelucid is only clear, but it's counterpart is POR15, and it does come in solid colors.
