Once again researching and developing.....

We are asking for assistance out there by way of substrates. We know there is MDO board, PVC (various colors and thicknesses), Omega board, waxboard, etc. We are asking the opinion of those interested in replying of their favorite substrates for 4' x 4' or other various larger signs. The going favorite that we have seen in MDO or durply which in our opinion is not the best as it warps and deteriorates over time. What is your favorite, why and where do you purchase the material?

Thanks for all your input.

I am still partial to MDO! I ALWAYS use the 2 sided Stimson "good" stuff!
Commercial Sign Supply of Long Beach and San Francisco supply it prepainted with a finish that rivals auto paint jobs! Since they buy in large quanties, they can demand the good grade and prime and paint it better and cheaper than I can do it myself, let alone the time savings!
I am sure there are other reputable suppliers out there, but this company works out well for me!
I do use other substrates, when the job calls for it, but, I am a creature of habit, and will wind up using MDO most of the time!

Werks fer me!

I like alumalite & MDO depending on the use. St. Augustine isn't too far from me. I'm in Volusia County next to Deland. Have to get together sometime.
