Hey, All!

This summers' International Letterheads 2001 Milwaukee Panel Jam--Back to Basics, (the "official" title, I believe. Right Slewfoot?)is shaping up to be quite the fun event. Already there's Mayo Prado (hope I spelled it right buddy) & the flame job to be done on his S-10, the challenge to Dave the Letterman to give up cigarettes & coffee whilst striping a police van, the call for panels in tribute to the recently late, always great Ed 'Big Daddy" Roth (How 'bout it Jeff Williams?)and a lot more that those folks in Milwaukee must be keepin' to themselves!!

And speaking of Milwaukee (yeah, I know, the event is actually in Waukesha--don't get me started!), there's a world of panel-jammin' subject matter there gang! Beer, brats, bikes and blues, just to name a few...

So...what are ya bringing, what do ya wanna work on there?

And what's the latest secret poop from our hosts, the Letterhead Legion of SWINE (South Wisconsin Illinois North East)? My research tells me that this is the "official" name of this some what reclusive group...

Yer Pal--Bill Krupinski (the former Sign Wizard)
Jefferson, WI--Almost as close to Waukesha as Milwaukee is!

In addition to having my S-10 get a flame job, I'll be bringing something I chewed up, errr routed on my router table.

Hopefully I'll get to gild it some time before the meet.

If I remember right about "Big Daddy" Ratfink, didn't he or people at meets he was at, always decorate, stripe, flame onto toilet seats and garbage cans? That could be a fitting tribute.

In Australia it's a custom to decorate a small fridge and then at the end of the meet they raffle it off. The proceeds going towards a local charity or sumfin like that. That's another possibility.

Maybe if one of the megastores has a sale on WOOD toilet seats (those cushy vinyl ones don't hold paint well) someone could bring a few to the meet. Yeah... new ones preferable to old.

Beer, brats, bikes, and blues. Why can't we just start early? I can't wait. Empty, our buddy, Barry does an awesome job on laying out flames and does some of the best roller-blends. I was really exciting to hear that someone was going to bring a real elephant, but sad to find out it's not true. The duel between Dave "So I Says, You Know What I'm Sayin'" Letterman should be the highlight of the evening. It should even top the Saturday Night Chick Knife Fight in Mazeppa. We're all glad to hear that Brother Mike can make it, but the Wizard's picking up Jill, no one else. She's not falling for no cheap, two-bit hussler riding in a limo.

P.S. Those new fonts at Sign DNA are just killer. Where do they come up with these? Way to go Dave Simpson!

Ed Roth's Ratfink Reunions did toilet seats, gallon solvent cans, skateboards, small oil drums, 5 gallon buckets, or whatever was available....got some of all of them!
Empy's S-10 wpold also be appropriate, because there was always a car or truck to "decorate"!

Hey! Slewfoot!
I would accept a ride in a limo, and I was married to a cheap, two-bit hussler for 7 years!
I'm doing my panel on one o'them there mini super-stock sign blanks, I have 2 hangin' in the office from Cincinnatti & Mazeppa. Might as well add in a M'Waukee one.
I wish I knew if my idol, Pekka, was coming, I'd like to make him a panel, too!
Any luck on locating dat cheesehead yet, Krupeenski? love- JILL

Yo Jill,
He said he would pick you up in a limo, But me and da Wiz figure it be a cargo van.I got W.J. a hazmat suit to keep his little fragile body safe From our addictive solvents. Why do they make them thinners smell so good ? I thought I would have heard from him by now , only living 3-4 away the jam site. Must be in the cellar eatin beans.
The pre- registrations are coming in but we need everyone sign up to continue to plan food - t shirt - dougnuts and all other cool stuff. Any questions let me have em.

Jillbeans, Baby!

I thought John Falotico was your idol!! Maybe him & Pekka could be co-idols? And that cheesehead hat? I used ta couldn't spell "cheesehead" and now I are one, to dredge up an old joke (from Belvidere?).

And Mr. Signfoot, er, SLEW-foot--DUDE! Bless yer vinyl toxin addled brain (must be why yer grammar ain't so shiney...), are you really getting me my very own personal haz-mat suit!? For thems that don't know, it's about the only way I can get within 3 or 4 feet of the Waukesha, er, MILWAUKEE Panel Jam, due to my near-fatal on-the-job toxic poisoning about 5 years ago (and the reason I had to quit signs). Should be quite the sight, on-site, eh? As an added bonus, I won't have to suck Dave the Letterman's toxic cigarette smoke, although I think I will bring a fire extinguisher to blast out those nasty-a** see-gars that Barry Quackenbush & his oxygen-deprived-brain pals all seem to need on order to function. Hey, Barry, why doncha jist soak them stogies in used solvent first, they'll burn cleaner, doncha know?

UH-OH--have I got off-topic again? Sorry!

Yer Pal, Bill "cover me, I'm goin' in, Ziggy" Krupinski
Jefferson, WI--A short drive of about 30 or 40 miles (hence the 3 or 4 feet, Barry) from the Waukesha Panel, that is, The MILWAUKEE Panel Jam, in Waukesha...

Yo, Wiz!
YOU are my BIGGEST idol, then Mike Meyer, Pekka, & John Fellat/oops...Falotico. Who, by da way, still owes us both a panel! One can only hope...
Slewfoot, Rachael is SO happy you are finding her a cheesehead hat. But I need at least two. I'll trade ya a bag of pieorgies, a Clark bar, a can of Iron City beer, and a Terrible Towel.
Love- JILL
P.S. Do you think the pierogies will melt on the train ride out?
P.S.S. I think we should have a contest- Who is the Sexiest Sign Guy?
