Signs DNA fonts... My favorites are Snappy, Bean Sprout, Magic and Nicole. There are lots of others I like also but these seem to be the ones I lean to if the sign needs an added touch of flair.

Hi Cheryl, Brian and Greg (what; is this a Washingtonians-only thread?):

Here's a nice sign-maker font in TrueType format (free for downloading):

http://www.smartartz.com/downloads/Fries.ttf

Here's what it looks like:

It comes compliments of SmartArtz Publications, in the land downunder.

Best Regards,

Hey Guys and Gals, I have had the font that jim has linked here for some time and it is great for doing menus and such that you want to have that hand lettered look but it is still easy to read. I ususally stretch the text out an extra 50% or so. Jim, us few Washingtonians have to stick together because there are so few of us around here!

LOL Greg!

I'm native to the area, as was my Mom, and her Mom. But, the woman I'm going to marry, was born in Fairbanks, AK, moved to Santa Fe, NM, then Atlanta, GA, next Corvalis, OR. Finally, Seattle, WA. Thank goodness Amy is more adventuresome than my clan. The moving to Seattle part is the best thing she ever did (by my way of thinking).

Of course, I can be a little more accepting of folks moving to the area, since I don't have a freeway between home and the office. Maaaaaan! Seattle freeways have got to be the worst!

Thanks for making me laugh,

Jim

Gail, If you are using a Windows based machine it's easy. From your desktop double click my computer/control panel/fonts. in the fonts click file and then instal new font. From there you will have to click on the directory where you down loaded the font to, click on the font and then it will be installed.
