is there a trick to get it to dry ... or an estimate how long it will take to dry?
I know why they're not drying (plasticizers yadayada) and know the steps so it doesn't happen (too late now)
the senerio ....
one of our printers is working on a couple dozen double sided banners...
prints the first side with vinyl ink (as he should) - while waiting for first side to dry prints some alum. with enamel inks...
goes to print the second side and grabs the wrong can of ink ... prints six of the banners before he realizes (dufus) ... doesn't tell anyone until we're packing to send to hem ... they're still waaayyy tacky after two days

if no tricks to get it to dry what do you think about mounting vinyl over the top?

Mark,

From my personal experience, you are going to be better off making 6 new banners.

IMHO, of course.

Hi Mark. One trick that I've heard of is to lightly mist the tacky surface using hydrogen peroxide and allowing it to dry by evaporation. Do not attempt to wipe it dry, as the peroxide must react with the tacky surface to affect a cure. It may be best to try this on ONE ONLY, and see how it stands come morning.

It's a bit of a risky fix, but it may be your only option at this point. Hope that it helps you out.

Roll a thin coat of Future floor wax over the banner. Once the wax is dry you can roll them up.

Thanks for the advise ... I'll take one and try those suggestions ... plus a few more.

Having to reprint would suck because it's a two day run (multi color ... and he screws up the last color), would have to order more material (don't have blockout red in stock)
and the job was due yesterday for a chain of hardware stores that is starting a new promotion this week ... but if it comes to that

why can't Roger make a rapid drier spray ... haha
