+---------------------- Bizarre Laws ----------------------+
GEORGIA

It is illegal to use profanity in front of a dead body which
lies in a funeral home or in a coroners office.

You have the right to commit simple battery if provoked by
"fightin'" words.

In Kennesaw, every head of household must possess a firearm
of some kind.

In Atlanta, one man may not be on another man's back.

Signs are required to be written in English.

No one may carry an ice cream cone in their back pocket if it
is Sunday.

In Quitman, it is illegal for a chicken to cross the road.

I wonder if it's illigal for them to......
DANCE!!!

I guess Coop and I didn't spend enuff time in Georgia to learn all these more important laws...we were lost in the georgia back woods...Coop heard some banjo music,he rolled up the window and scremed "STAND ON IT" I did and we never turned back. til we hit Jimmy Chathams. And everything would have been alright then but ...Judy Pate showed up with those "boiled peanuts"... do those people really eat those damned things or is it a game they play called "I Gagged the Yankee... did ya see it?"

they are like a roasted except they are still in the shell and usually done in a bed of hot coals. if you want them salty you soak them in salt water for a few days then
parch them.

Conversation heard at the Dixie meet between Jimmy and RT:

Jimmy: "Jeet yet"?

RT: "Naw, jeww"?

Jimmy: "Yaunt too"?

RT: "Iayt"

Anyone have a clue as to what they were talkin' about?

Hey Adrienne,
Being a Georgia native, I can easily translate RT and Jimmy's conversation.
Jimmy: Jeet yet? (Did you eat yet?)
RT: Naw yew? (No..did you?)
Jimmy: Yaunt to? (You want to?)
RT: Iayt! (All Right!)
Hahahahahaha! Just thought yall would want to understand our southern slang .
Hey Monte..we love boiled peanuts here! But if I remember right..it was peanut brittle I bought to the Dixie Letterhead Meet. What did you think of the peanut brittle?
See yall at the next Dixie Letterhead Meet>..remember I'll bring the peanuts!
