Hi everyone, reporting live from Habana, Cuba, present location, at the Nacional Hotel in Habana, This is one of Habana, nicest hotels just saw a photo of Micheal Keaton, Niaomi Campbell, Johnny Depp, was here guess they got here before me.
Cant believe how hard it was to find a computer with internet access,

Daniez, call moms let her know were doing fine here, got here last night, was stuck at the Cancun airport all damn day. cant send email out from here maybe tomorrow. when I find another place.
also trying to get used to using this keyboard, its in spanish lot of different keys.
Anyway other then that, man this place is real old, I thought the French Quarters in New Orleans was old. this place is 5 times OLder. Cant say much here, will talk later, but doing ok, wish me luck folks...Hasta La Vista, Cisco

Take a tour into the countryside if ya wanna see how people REALLY live on that island. The people are VERY poor but they are VERY friendly.

Francisco, Are you finding time to catch ome of the street music scene there? The old signs and old musicians are very hot I'm told. Are you able to do OK with the language there? At least they don't speak it as fast as Puerto Rico does. We're all looking forward to sneak previews for your articles. Oh, don't bring home a new wife.

I see this site has changed again, now everyone's pic is on their post, thats cool Steve and Barb, well stil find it hard to get internet access, you have to go to a Hotel and pay $5. bucks US dollars for 15 minutes! yup thats how it starts. Computers are not the big thing here. but plenty plenty of MUSIC!! and tons of CIGARS!! oh and TONS and TONS of "Chicas"

But I'm doing ok been gettin along fine, staying at house that rents rooms, they wash and iron your clothes, make you breakfast, lunch or dinner, $25. bucks a day,
Went a place about 100 miles from Havana it's called Vinales, they have caves, from the indians from way back and HUGE mountain side with a prehistoric mural painted on it. Unbelievable! People are real cool and friendly.
Jerry that's my whole objective here, is a story on the signs, shot about 20 rolls so far, not just signs, but lot of other things. well my friends, I will keep you posted. sorry can't answer each of you, time is money here!

HOLA amigos, Like the song by Cris Cross, "Ride like the wind" I was able to fly off the island, but I have one more step to go before I can prove the 85% wrong that when I told them about going into the Cuba, (most said I wouldn't make it back home) BUTTTT I will say one thing about Habana, it's actually saver on the streets, even at night I seen women walk around at night, and I'm not talking about the "Chicas" something you don't see at home in the USA, kind of sad in one way, we have such a beautiful country, but lot of loooneies, shootin and killing everyone, over bull****tt. and I don't want to hear "then maybe you should go back". Just informing sort of what's it like over there in one aspect.

It was a very interesting mission, something I thought would be neat to have, was a Global Letterhead Meet. I really don't think that would be possible now.

Anyway present location CanCun. Hey Rick let Bill and his love Annie. i'll be at the "Avalon Grand" tomorrow, sort of close to the hotel zone as you come in (today is the 13th) but will be gone most of the day, going to Chichen Itza tomorrow to see the pyramids. But found an internet cafe for 15 pesos for an hour. big difference compared to the places in Cuba. At $5 bucks an hour and only at the expensive hotels. That was one thing I didn't care about the forbidden island. I really couldn't say much over there, going in the Hotels, and knowing being on the internet that you're using is not only filtered, but also monitored. I never was able to send out one e-mail. another thing I wasn't crazy about was that they (most cubanos) are prohibited to have internet access. So thanks Steve and Barb for having this communication port.
Other then internet stuff, It's one BIG city, and lots to do. My new favorite drink now is the "Mojito" made with Rum

Sorry Felix, never made over to your mom's city. I only got to see a portion of the island, with 2.25 million people kind of hard to see everything. but there sure was some "beautiful sites" over there. I almost got stuck going into one area called Regla, seen some art work (paintings) looked like the dude knew hand lettering, so found me a guide to take a ferry across the bay there in Habana, later to find out that my guide really didn't know this area that well and asked someone else on the ferry if he knew where this street was. Kind of an odd feeling when you get on an old beat up fery and everyone one just zeros in on you, and no I wasn't dressed up. He said yeah but the that Americano, is not supposed to be out here, and you can get into big trouble for running around helping him out he's a tourist. I heard them as they spoke in spanish, I thought to myself "Ah ****T" I had heard to many stories about some who came here and got stuck in the Villa Marista (the prison) and NOW I find this out. so I answered back in spanish since many there kept asking me if I was a Mexicano. Just be coool. Well we found the artist, but all his work was at a place they call the Fedia. and he was kind of worried to have us around his studio, anyway everything went well. and we had a few beers and I found out more info about how some "really think of this place"

Hey Daniez, thanks for the call. will be seeing you soon, ran out of funds, save the recycle center for me. Your'e going to love some of these other stories, still smilin, ole man Ernie wants to go back, hahahahahaha I told him he was crazy, he bought him a time share deal over here in Cancun so he can bring a sweetie pie over. Now this place (Cancun) is really jumping, sort of like a Las Vegas by beautiful beaches, but no casinos. in fact, time for me to run and make sure everyone is using their radar system as they cross the streets. funny here and as well as in Habana, how people dodge cars, buses, bikes as they cross the streets. and thanks again for your replies, even if I didn't each of yous. But now being more at ease and almost home. I will have a Tequila, finish my Cohiba, kick back on my hammet, and watch all the pretty ladies go by, life sure is rough....well folks till later on...yours truly Cisco, Hasta la Vista.

Cisco, glad you made it back to Cancun. I love it there, sept for the humidity...stickkkky!!
If you get a chance go to where someone will make you a Aztec coffee....it's a real cool show!!!!
And it tastes fantastic!
I stayed for two weeks at Hotel Tankah accross the street from Plaza Bonita. Very cheap but clean rooms with good air conditioners....all you need really.
