Hi Letterheads!

Barb and I are camped out at a Best Western near the San Francisco Airport. The rental car has been returned so we are on foot. We are hoping to catch a flight to Toronto tomorrow at 1:25pm. Since we are flying stand-by, actually getting a seat is always a gamble. Keep your fingers crossed for us.

How time flies! It seems like only yesterday we met Si at the LA airport. has it really been a month since the California Conclave?

We've sure accumulated some great memories. OJ Simpson's former home. The murder scene on Bundy. All the thrills at Universal Studio and the sites in Hollywood. Meeting Chuck Peterson, John & Nita Arnott and the infamous TBuk. Then there are all the great times we had with Si, Marty, & Bird Allen.

And what about the N. California Letterheads! Jackie & Gary Vaughn made this whole trip possible and threw a turkey party to boot. Then there was our loft room at Stef and Heath Harris' home. It's close, but I think our meal in Pollock Pines was the best!

The micro meet at Ron & Kristi Percell's was a blast! We'll miss everyone we met there! Regreat that we never meet Warren but we'll fix that next trip.

Then there was our time with Rick, Megan, Jake and Annie Sacks. They showed us their town and opened their hearts. It was very hard to say good-bye to these very special people.

Thanks to Adrienne and Jim for the warm, comfy bed in Benicia. Adrienne even made sure we got to Livermore to see Herb Martinez. What a pal!

Our last few days were spent with a school pal from Fergus, a visit to Monterery, up to Santa Cruz to meet a super guy named Ken Morse, and finally back to San Francisco.

Now it's time to go back to the cold. It's never easy to say good-bye so we won't...just so long until we can return to do it all again and more. It's truly an honour to be the Mayor Of Letterville.

If you need to contact us, we are at 650-873-3200, Room 501.

Steve & Barb,
I'm sure I can speak for the rest of us California signmakers when I say the pleasure was all ours. You've done a lot to bring people together. I hope you had the trip you hoped to have. Being a native Californian, I probably have a warped view of the world, but I like it best right here. I love to travel too, so I'm happy you were able to do this trip. I hope some of our maddness stays with you.

Barb & Steve~

It was a pleasure hosting you for one night... wish I could have had ya here for longer! (See what happens when you have so many friends- not enough time!)

I'm glad to hear little spodunk Pollock Pines made an impression on you. I'll have to let the Chef know at Sportsman's that he is now famous all the way back to Fergus.

...and if it was my Breakfast I cooked for you, well Thank You! I aim to feed! But I must confess- I have done time as a short order cook, and Breakfast was always the easiest for me. But, I can toss a mean pizza too! (Funny how those things never leave ya.)

It's sad to hear your going back home, but I'm sure you miss Lid and the family!

This little part of California will be awaiting your return! Come back and see us soon!

The can't we roll back clock? side of the Moon

I have a greater appreciation for my area due to your visit. I think I can say for all that you visited, we are better people by meeting our Honorable Mayor and his better half Barbara. I had a gas, surfs up!
