I parked next to a new truck today that belonged to a homebuilder from our area. He was sporting a new graphic design also, and one that I would like to share. Knowing that I live in mid-sticks USA, I'm sure that this is not new to everyone, but it was to me. It was a colored graphic of a new home front elevation rendering (looked like a photograph, but was a drawing), less than one square foot in size(probably only 6x10). It was framed with a cool art nouveau bordering and sporting the name of his company. The border was done in a gold vinyl (not signgold) and his co. name with a darker shadow. I wish I had taken a pic. For such a small and discrete sign, it certainly drawed my attention. I would certainly like to try one similar to it, with a photo of a piece my own artwork, if I could get someone to print me a small print from a printer that will do outdoor quality material in high definition. This was just much classier than the average vehicle grapic, and was very simple. If anyone could print such a photo from file, please let me know, as I just can't justify owning a printer at this stage....Thanks, Bronzeo

Hey Jack, I have a Durachrome which is the same type of printer that the Edge is just bigger (up to 50"). I would be happy to help you out anytime. In fact I am working on a project like you mentioned for a real estate company. I took some digital pics of their custom home office that they want as part of the logo and printed on desktop printer, then use the light table and made a pen and ink sketch of the house that I will be printing on the Durachrome as well as carving on a sandblasted sign... fun stuff. Brian, will the Durachrome print from a four color photo like a jpg,tiff,gif or other? What would be the best format,file size and info that we could try. It needs to be done on an application of vinyl that will adhere to substrate. I would like to start with a simple photo of one of my wildlife paintings for an ad for my gallery and also a sample of signage. Probably about 8x12 or 12x16. Let me know......Thanks, Jack

Jack, I can print what ever you want on vinyl using a 4color process on my Edge. My Going rate is 10.00 a running ft.wholesale to the trade (I retail it at 15.00) plus freight, if you provide the file. a running ft on edge is 11.7"tall x 12 inches long. I have had really good luck printing old black and white photos on oyster vinyl. even in a browntone so it looks like old time browntone photo. for best results, I need a 300 dpi photo preferably full size that you want, or at least 1/4 size for good resolution. It prints using CMYK at 300 dpi using .eps files to rip. It is very easy to convert files into .eps (I have been using mostly CorelDraw, PhotoShop, and .Tiff files with great success) As far as colors, photos print fine but you may not get what you expect from digital art unless your monitor is calibrated correctly, but just use a cmyk pantone book and all is well. I am not a wholesale printer by any means but would be glad to print anything you might need, if its for yourself Ill give you a nice price
