I half-inched a webcam from my hubby's office (don't worry- he knows about it). Now that I installed it on my computer I would like to know how to work it like the DaveTV he did while on chat from Mexico. Also I think I will have to re-install netmeeting because it crashes every time I try it out- any ideas anyone?

Hi Karen......I used a web server called Camarades. It is very stable and it is free. Unfortunately the freware version does not support voice messages. The URl is www.camarades.com
Netmeeting, depending on the version and the capabilities of you computer can be quite unstable, but it does allow audio AND video.
I'll look for you on chat and see how you make out with the cam.

Take it down the pub Karen, I always wanted to go to a genuine Irish pub. Glad to see you back and things looking OK. David

Despite hours of trying and tons of help until late last night I still cant get the blooming thing working properly. My whole family came in to have a good laugh and in the end David (T) relented and decided to give it a try for me. Well even though he does it for a living he couldn't get it going either! David (Bloke) :-I don't think the cable will stretch to my local maybe I can take my digital camera down there and do a few stills. If you see the book "Round Ireland with a Fridge" on the bargain shelf in your bookshop there is a pic. of "The Strand" pub and a pic. of the landlord out surfing. It is mentioned in some guides as being one of the best pubs in Ireland. They are planning to have a webcam set up in the pub later this year and site giving weather and surfing conditions.
