Hiya Heads',
I just recently had a credit report pulled & it showed that I still have an old balance from a Signet Bank account in Richmond Va.
Anyone know if the're still in business or if they were bought out/merged with another bank?
Any clues would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Checkers,

I believe Signet Bank was bought out by First Union in 1998. Someone in Virginia or North Carolina should be able to confirm. Their bankcard division was spun off in 1994 and still exists today as CapitalOne. Good luck with your pursuit.

Is that balance enough to finance your own start up?
