Just thought I'd like to share this little anectdote with you letterheads, As i always say, only me, As I've been doing signs for some years now, I never really had a shop of my own, worked out of my fathers business, then my home, well, I finally got my own hig traffic area shop, in a place that totally coincidentally was a half/sorta sign shop. Well, as I hung my sign up and my A-frame sign was out there, I waited for my first customer, ahhh, and here he rolls in, looking at my freshly painted sign, this mans gonna drop a wad on a sign right?, In strolls my early retiremant fund, and as he enters the door, he say's " hello, My daughter is a very talented artist and I was hoping you could give me some vinyl , or maybe some....."
i told him where the old sign shop that he must be looking for moved to.
oh well, at least I can laugh, and I really do send people to the old place when they are looking, I'd want the same.

Ya, I heard them all as well. Like "My nephew can draw the smurfs real good, can you give him a job?
Congratulations on your shop.. and all the best, I know from personal experience how scary it is, I'm going into my 3rd year on a high profile shop and I know all you home based shops got a lot going for you. Wish all of us nut cases with the store fronts good luck, will ya?
Neil
