What kind of keyboard do you use and why? I just recently went through two key boards in less than 2 weeks, that is my computer did. I am currently using a Microsoft ergonomic economy model at 25.00 ea. and the third one is beginning to flicker, even now as I'm typing this!

It sounds like something might be loose, either the connection at the back of the computer, or something on the motherboard. Open the case and follow where the keyboard plugs in and make sure things are seated tightly. Unless you're spilling coffee or beer on them, they are usually a pretty reliable component...
To answer your question, I use some cheap keyboard at work, and a fancy Logitech keyboard at home for a little more comfort.

Considering that even a $15 keyboard should last ya at least 10 years, I'd say there's something up with your PC.
Here in the office, we're on IBM OEM machines and although the keyboard says IBM on it, doubt they actually make it..
At home I have a Microsoft Natural ergonomic keyboard that's about 8 years old, works like a charm except for a few keys that jump off from time to time cause I broke the tabs that hold em in whenever I pulled it apart to paint it. =)
The connector on the back of the machine could be loose (where it attaches to the mainboard) or there's something wrong with the mainboard and it's toastin' the keyboard.

Hey Bob, I was told that dust was causing the problem and it seems logical. There is a lot of dust in this area as we live by an airport and I was told that dust could cause an arcing problem. I got the dust blown out and it seems to be working fine now. I try not to ever put anything liquid on the same desk as my 'puter. I was just looking at the new Logitech cordless keyboard and mouse, man they are neat! Mike, I have the exact MSN natural ergonomic keyboard right now and I do think they should last longer than a year. I'm glad I still have some time on my warranty. Once again, thank you very much for the advice.

Logitech cordless keyboard. Works like a charm. It's been a couple years and i think i'm still on the original set of batteries.

I started using a Microsoft Internet board and luv it , it has hot buttons above numberpad for my computer and calculator access... above function buttons it has hot buttons for all internet explorer function and volume and running your cd audio player.. very handy
