I posted this at the end of the thread about the "Chat Channel Button" but thought it might be missed down there, and that some folks might find it helpful.

The only time I ever have to scroll sideways is when there is an oversized picture in a post or when there is an overly long "topic title" or website address. Those last two do not "wrap" automatically like plain text does.

Just for information sake, changing screen resolution is a two step operation. I run a resolution of 1800x1200 on my monitor at the shop BUT I also re-set the "font size" to "large fonts" because my old eyes couldn't read the default "small fonts" at that resolution. What I ended up with was a situation where all the graphics and page borders and toolbars are a lot smaller but the actual text is virtually the same size as the text on a lower resolution with "small fonts". What this does, especially in a graphics program, is greatly enlarge the "working" space. And the spillover effect is that on a BB such as this, all the advertising and graphics are smaller and the actual meat of the page, the BB, is much larger.

This is the way I do it. Right click on an empty part of the desktop. Click on properties in the window that appears. Click on settings in the new window. set the resolution you want in the "screen area" section and hit apply. Once the new resolution is applied click on the "advanced" button near the bottom right. In the new window you can change to large fonts in the "display" section. Click "apply" and then OK. As you do these things you may be asked to restart your computer or it will restart automatically depending on how your machine was set up originally. Give it a try if you want to see if you can improve the way you see things on the screen!

You can also change font size in Explorer. If you have a wheel mouse, hold down the control button and wheel away! I am sure there is another way without the wheel but that is how I does it...
