This Damn Yankee is looking for info in the Hinesville area for lodging such as state parks.

It's that time a year again when I get brave enough to stick my neck over that Mason / Dixon line and pull off another mission trip.

I'll be traveling with a group of 16 or so, Being a volunteer effort we are looking for reasonable accomodations, We would prefer a nearby state park. ( with cabins preferably )

I've tried to search the web but cannot find any source that will inform me of the nearest state park to Hinesville.

If anyone has any info I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Hey, hope you enjoy your visit to Gods Country !! About an hour or less from Hinesville is the Okeefenokee Swamp. Near there is the Laura S. Walker state park with all the creature comforts. The swamp offers all kinds of excitement for all age groups. I will try to get the Shortreeds over there on their next treck down this away to see "real live 13 foot" aligators in their natural enviornment. Good luck to ya and have a safe trip !!
