Here is a job we did yesterday, and it was almost dark by the time we finished,
I took this picture with a digital camera, and the flash went off, so it really shows how scotchlite works.

I designed the blends and fades in corel draw from a file I exported from signlab
Then I sold it to the Marshal.
Then I had to recreate the blends in
graphic advantage, as I do not have
colormaster signlab yet, Or Omega.
I tried exporting a cmx file into graphic advantage, but it cuts it up too much on
color changes, which makes it very difficult to know what you are actually going to print.
anyway, to answer daves question, it is edge printed on gold scotchlite with transparent burgandy foil.

Bill, I was unaware that you could edge print reflective. Very cool look!

We do about 100 sheriff cars a year, not including sheriff boats, vans, jeeps and the one's they wreck and send back for repairs. Wish they looked as cool as yours. I'm gettin tired off lookin at the things already!

Thanks,
Don
We didn't either until we tried it.
I think if I had it to do over, I would design the fade with a bigger dot so it
reflected more, but It turned out ok this way.
I still have a lot to learn on digital
printing, though.

AS Much as ou can get Ron. LOL
Price is relative to your location and competition, over the net you can order
similar graphics (their design) not your own
for about 350 a car plus you have to install
that is US pricing but I usually charge by the hr for installing those, this installation took about 5 man hours.
or 250 plus the graphics.

I am going to say that I think your concept is great!!!!
I like the idea of flat and reflective on the work..Did you use any edge sealing or was it straight print and cut to the vehicle?

I am sure that you finished product will give you more work with the force!

Fine job all the way around!

No edge sealing required on scotchlite,
we tuck the edges on the doors and around gas cap which requires a strategic print to allow for the overlaps I usually just add a vertical cut into the artwork and print by section, or you can just do it manually in the plot/print part of the program

I understand your principal on the seam cutting of the Scotchcal product around the doors and the gas cap..
But being a heavy vinyl material (Don't they ask for the edges to be sealed with Scotch Edge Sealer to insure the warranty?
And what about the print aspect? Did you use
any type of clear over it?
Still a nice night time glow effect as they are chasing someone down the road!
Hope it's not you!
Or your not chasing them for your money!
(LOL)
