Suellyn,
Many of us are sick of this in the workplace, out of the workplace, and of both sexes. What do you do after the injury has taken place and when it seems to be an ongoing thing in our society?....
A dear friend sent this to me today that ran a conference for women and shared this asking me to share it with others. I don't believe this is just for women, but I found this a perfect place to share it.

A STRONG WOMAN VERSUS A WOMAN OF STRENGTH

A strong woman works out everyday to keep her body in shape...
but a woman of strength builds relationships to keep her soul in shape.

A strong woman isn't afraid of anything..
but a woman of strength shows courage in the midst of fear.

A strong woman won't let anyone get the best of her...
but a woman of strength gives the best of herself to everyone.

A strong woman makes mistakes and avoids the same in the future...
but a woman of strength realizes life's mistakes can also be unexpected blessings and capitalizes on them.

A strong woman wears the look of confidence on her face...
but a woman of strength wears grace.

A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey...
but a woman of strength has faith that it is in the journey that she will become strong.

(please share this with others as I have shared with you)

I'd prefer this version
"A Strong Person vs a person of strength"

All those ideals apply to both genders ... is it not discrimation to think otherwise?

Janette,

I cannot take the credit for the way it was written. So therefore, I have addressed it for both women and men.
thanks, Deb

Great words, Deb. We should all print that out and put it on the fridge.
