We have been asked to do a full color, printed window logo. Actually we would just apply it. Aprox. size 12"12". Any suggestions on resolition of graphic image? What file type should i ask for? Our customer has sent a few files through e-mail, and we wonder if they would work. Anybody want to print it?
Thanks for any help!

Hi Brad, I would get that in at least a 150 dpi at half size (300 is the most you would need) which should not be that big of a file. If you get a Tiff file you should be able to sub it out just about anywhere. I would be happy to run it off if you dont already have a source. Most e-mailed artwork I get from customers wont cut it. 75 dpi is great for the web but if you blow it up it gets real ugly.

Brad,

File resolution will depend on the printhead dpi. As an example, the printhead on an Edge is 300 dpi. Your file shouldn't be any larger than 100 dpi at full size.

I've done some testing using a 300 dpi image, a 200 dpi image, and a 100 dpi image (all at full size). I could see no difference between any of the printed pieces.

BTW, if you have ever seen the sample pieces done by Mike Jackson at a Gerber tradeshow booth, they are all at 100 dpi (on the 300 dpi printhead).
