Hitachi has just started shipping their new camcorder.. this thing is sweet!

Get this.. it records video and still images onto DVD discs!! It uses a 3" DVD-RAM disc which is rewritable up to 100,000 times.

The still images are a bit lower resolution than they should have made them.. at 1 Megapixel. I think they should have made it at least 5 Megapixel.. considering the $2,000 price tag... but it will hold almost 2,000 still shots which is nothing to sneeze at.

So, this means one thing.. Sony should be releasing their own version of this camera pretty soon cause now they realize their camcorder that writes onto CD's just isnt enough. =)

Here's a link to Sony's Mavica CD-R camera too.. it doesnt record much video though, unlike the Hitachi camera that can store 2 hours.

I like my Nikon 950. It doesn't take video but it will shoot 16 frames non-stop. It has so many features that after 2 years of owning it, I still don't know how to use them all.
