You have to link to a URL that has your picture stored there.
The "button" you are looking for should be a typed command that looks like this:
[ im g ] htt p: // myISP/ webzone.com/ ~myname/my picture.gif [ /i mg]
I had to include spaces in the above sampel or a picture would try to display, and there would just be a little icon with an x in it to show the link is not correct.
If you need to know how to load a picture on your ISP's server, then you need to use the search feature on this website, as much has been written about this subject. Type in Posting Pictures in the search box and see what info comes up.

What you have to do is upload the picture to a website that you have access to. A lot of us use our own website for this purpose and the rest of the folks who post pictures use free public access websites. Once the picture is uploaded to a website then it is a matter of typing in a simple code into your message.
That code is as follows but with no spaces between characters.
[img] the website address where the picture is located [/img]
