I have been replacing backlit acrylic and lexan sign faces for eight years. I did a large site description for a large Canadian company and after several months they have now asked for the FRAME TYPES.( IE: SignComp, SignPro, EX Series for replacement pylon sign faces. HEEEELLLPPP! We have always unriveted these sign faces and put in the new acrylic/lexan and added hanging strips as needed, but never had to know the names of the frame profiles. Some need the hanging strips glued on the front face, some on the back, and they are different sizes.

Is there someone who can explain the specs for these different types of frame profiles?

I was hired by this company in Ontario, Canada, and after submitting all the elevation drawings, decription of the conditions of the signs/cans and building, submitting photos and emailing jpegs of same, and fulfilling all of their requests(& yes, I got paid for most of that job)....I have just been terminated from this contract because I could not verify THE FRAME TYPES. (the company was having the sign faces made in Ontario and shipped to me here in B.C.for installation in existing freestanding pylon signs)
The fellow made it known that he couldn't beleive that I did not know the differences of these signs and that I could still be in business.....he stated he was amazed because he's never come across any sign shop that doesn't know these names/profiles/specs.

Now that he has burst my bubble, I would like to learn these facts for myself. If you can supply any contact name or company name and number of anyone who makes these types of metal sign faces, please forward it or post it here. Thanks in advance for any names, I'll glady share what I learn. Thanks in advance.
