In corel draw there is a cool feature called powerclip that i use to place objects inside letters/graphics. I was just wondering how you could do this in signlab. Im using colormaster. Any ideas?
Also is there any way you can still work in signlab while you are cutting? I have a job im working on that is taking a very long time to cut and i have to do layouts too!
Thanks in advance,
Ryan

Yes, Signlab has a spooler. You can work and cut at the same time. There are various welding options in Signlab, you can leave the parts that intersect or everything but those.

Ryan---

Jim's correct.

On the file bar click on CUT then on PLOTTER SETUP and X out the spooler function.

You can spool a bunch of jobs that way and still design while the plotter is busy.

Sorry I don't know too much about powerclip function.

Good luck!

Unfortunately, "power clipping" is only available in illustration software. Neither SignLab nor any other vinyl cutting software that I am aware of has that feature.

The powerclip, as in Corel works like one of the welding functions in Signlab.

Depending on the graphic, a basic weld should work. I've done simple ones this way. As far as the spooler goes I would be lost without it. It's running right now. I allow myself internet time as long as the plotters running.
