Haven't been on here for a few days. Had a bad attack sunday, was admitted to the hospital, and had gallbladder surgery yesterday. Got home late last night really no worse for wear. Very sore today, and that co2 they use makes for some bothersome pains, but otherwise, feeling okay. Should be up to par in a few days. Feels good to get that thing outa there I tell ya. Had 47 small stones in it. But, no more PAIN! I'm just glad to be here for sure.

John, my sympathies on what I've heard is a very painful thing to go through. At least they can break the stones up with laser nowadays. I can't imagine how excrutiating it must have been before the new techniques were developed. Did ya save any stones?
Seriously, glad everything came out o.k. (alright, I couldn't resist) take it easy and get some rest, you deserve it.

Real glad you're ok. I had surgery about a month ago for Appendicitis & it wasnt the greatest feeling in the world. Plus the gave me that spinal anesthetic that killed my upper back for about a week. (I'm still wondering why it hurt my upper rather than my lower back.)

Hello John!
Rest easy and enjoy your time with friends and family during the holidays.

I took an unexpected trip to a hospital about 2 months ago and at early recovery I reflected on what was really important. My wife and kids were at the top of that list.

Best Wishes!
Chris

Hey John,

Sorry you had to do the surprise thing, but glad it went well. At least now you won't have to go through the holidays dreading the surgery.

Take care, and heal well.

Jonh ...ya got my sympathies! Know what ya mean about gall bladder pain!
Now they are over, and be thankful that it was done with 4 little holes in ya! When I had mine done 32 years ago ...they split ya open and looked around!

Don't worry about fried chicken and pork chops...your body will adjust!

Happy Healing!

Hi John,
I had my surgery on Dec. 4th...so I know what you've been thru. I had a hiatal hernia repaired instead of gall bladder surgery but I had 5 small incisons...still having problems with the navel one.
Since they moved my esophagus all around ..I am still only able to eat soft foods and NO BREAD or MEAT! Man! I could go for a steak with all the trimings right now!Well..at least there is one perk to this surgery..I can lose weight effortlessly.
One problem I am having now is remembering NOT to lift anything...before you know it you've lifted something out of habit! I sure don't want to go thru this surgery again!!
Glad to see that you are on the mend!Relax and enjoy the holidays while you recuperate! Judy
