Looking for a supplier of vinyl or PVC posts. Searched here and found an old reply about them, with a company called Fast FramEZ noted with an 800 #. Tried it and it has been disconected. Anyone have ant info on these guys? In the search, many noted to go to Home Depot or fence suppliers...I'll check that out too. Laminators, Inc. is coming out with a system in weeks/months...but need info now for a bid. Thanks ahead of time and thanks Barb & Steve. The search faeture on this site found me some info...another reason I am a supporter of Letterville! Mick Samsel

Home Depot and Lowe's carries them 3.5''x 6'long. Some have a pressure treated core. They also have 4.75''x 4.75''x 8' ones without PT inserts.

I'm preparing to install one now with 4.75'' x 8' white vinyl posts (from Home Depot). The vinyl post walls are only about 1/8'' thick so I ripped two 4x6 PT timbers on the table saw and slid them into the hollow vinyl posts, drilled them for lag screws and added a nice looking vinyl finial on top.

Hi Mike,

Your post (no pun intended) was quite timely, as I am just finishing a magazine article on using PVC as structural material for the March 2001 issue of Sign Builder Illustrated.

There is a wholesale vinyl material supply located near me. Contact "Western Vinyl Products" in Central Point, Oregon. 1-800-206-7349 or check their web site at www.westernvinylfence.com . The sell it in full lengths or will precut it to your specifications, and they ship all over the United States. I went through their warehouse and they seem to have about every size PVC you could possible want. Just about every size that regular dimensional lumber comes in.
