Thanks Mark for posting the pic.

Pat,

There is nothing on the hood yet. With the painted chrome I will not put flames on the hood unless I can do the entire grille. The main reason I had not done them yet was not being able to do without the car long enough to do them right. I decided I could do these without so much downtime and they actually work a little better for the time period with the baby moons(late 59's-early 60's).

The main thing is, they DO draw attention to the old work truck. Some will like em, some will not, but most all of them remember.

Hey Pat,

That sounds like a good idea, except for the Jan. Feb. part. Right now it's a toasty 31 degrees here this morning, but by that time it will be turning cold. If you bring a bunch of Southern Strippers I'm sure we will draw quite a crowd, and my shop is only 30x40. And if you had the Southern Strippers here, there is no tellin what the Southern Stripers that you named might put on my car. heh heh

But hey, I'm game if you are. Maybe Mike Meyer would come too(he could stand outside and think it was summertime)

Hey Nice station wagon! and mailboxes!! Here is my 1965 VW I painted with a brush in '75. I used this as my shop 'truck' for about 5 years. 4x8's were tied to the top. I had to have the bumpers re-welded several times. I loved that car. (coulda used some of your famous flames however!)
