I have too much on my computer with upgrades and another solution may be to get another (very inexpensive) computer such as DOS for my second computer. I need to know if it will run my graphix advantage. Is this stretching it too far??? I have a pentium now.
One of my customers is helping me and asked me that question, since my computer locks up quite a bit. I have now 14 gigs of hard drive and only 32 megs of ram, but also have windows ME on. I don't want to complicate this question too much, but only wondered if DOS could be an option.

I don't think Gerber's GA will run in DOS, did you check with them that Windows ME would be OK with GA, I have a Pentium 2 that is coming up to 3 years old now with GA installed, I had problems with a partitioned HD causing lock ups, running in Win 95 so upgraded to Win 98 and installed a 20gb drive and converted all my files to FAT 32, I also increased my RAM from 64m to 128mb, I have no problems today and it seems to work fine...We have GA 6 and Signlab, and Illustrator, often with 2 GA's open and the other 2 at the same time. I have slowed down on changing computers all the time...how much better is a 700-900 processor? When using vector programs.
I would increase your RAM memory to at least 128mb and see what happens!
Good luck

I just got on the bb late in the day. I will pass this along to the people working on my computer. For now, I will crank out the signs that need to go now. And I will let you know how it turns out!
muchas gracias
