You know.....the disorder that one gets when the weather turns gloomy. What does it stand for again?? sittin' around depressed or sure am drenched No.....seriously......you should SEE this rain. I know Seattle is known for the rain, but this is rediculous! We all overslept. Must have been because the rain was pounding so hard, we couldn't hear our alarm clocks. I have all the blinds and curtains open..but still need the dang lights on. Sheesh! Hey Cisco.......how's that sunshine doing in Fresno?? And you Floridonians.....how's that heat? Hey Marty......can I borrow your name for the winter?? NO REALLY.....come on you Lettervillians, how do you do it? HUH? I have to go pick up some Intecel today......because it doesn't have to be painted. (Paint takes 2 days to dry in this slop) I think I am going to go crazy...............

Cheryl, it is pouring down in Olympia too. It's trying to make up for lost time I guess.
Making the transition is the tough part, once it has been like this for a while it gets easier to deal with...until June. Then I am ready to go back into California. Maybe Fresburg wasn't so bad after all. But then I remember the summers there, loooong and HOT !!! Webbed feet or skin cancer ? Hmmm.

Geez Cheryl... Now ya got it pourin' clear over here on the other side of the state! It's raining so hard and almost horizontal that it's running in under my doors! I guess it's time to get the Ark out for the fall rain season. I was actually heading that way this afternoon to attend Summa'a open house but I hate driving in the rain in the dark so I guess I will have to miss it this year.

It's Sunny and Warm here in South Florida. Not to hot and not to cold. (Sorry couldn't resist.) When it rains down here you can see it coming and out run it if you in a vehicle. Of course the last big storm about a year ago put 3" on the floor of my art room and about 10" in my shop. I used to live in Northern Michigan "The U.P.) in the early 60's and all I remember of that was 9 months of winter and 3 months of cold weather.
Cheer up it will pass.

I spend as much time as I can in the desert. A friend of mine in Portland wants me to move up there...no thanks! I wouldn't live a month. Too depressing.

Not doing much over here either Cheryl. I'm getting desperate enough to take Cody to a McDonald's play area. Last time we went, he was actually too young, but I thought he wants to have fun too, so I tore off my own shoes and joined him in that 'ball room'.

Gaaad I'm old. Twisted my ankle just crawling through a tube into that place. That was nearly a week ago and I'm still limping. Oh yeah, but it WAS fun.

Started raining here just when we had promised an install. We climbed ladders and used cordless power tools wrapped in plastic bags. Got the install completed and the rain stopped. Sure is clear now!

anyone know how big a "CUBIT" is?

An ancient linear measurement,
there is archeological evidence that points to a length of about 17.5 inches for a cubit.

It was approximately the length of the forearm and hand, measured from elbow to the end of the fingers, or possibly to a knuckle.

Results may vary.

Gilead.. you can't fool us.. we KNOW about Monsoon Season in Phoenix...
But here, in the sunny high mountain desert, it's clear and sunny during the day, and cool at night... it's so beautiful here that it's worth being poor to live here.. And the sunrises and sunsets... well... and the leaves turning... and.. well.. you get the idea.

Cheryl

Take up kayaking - we are the people who get all happy and exited when the rain comes. We have had a terrible summer here in Ireland - hardly any rain to fill the rivers, or even enough to get something to play with.

Gee you would think that here in Ireland we could be sure of some rain !!!

Great to watch other peoples faces when I show pleasure at a good downpour.
hehehehehe
