I need some help again. I have digital pictures I want to put on t-sheets. The equipment I'm using is Gerber Edge with GA 6.21. How do I get get the picture into GA import or place image. Once I get it into composer, how do I get it to print? I know I have to assign colors but how? I have looked at the books but there isn't any explanation on how to assign colors it just says do it. For example, how would you assign a color to grass? Grass is not just green , it has brown, shades of green and etc. Please help. Remember, I am real new at this and I need detailed directions. I also am having the same trouble with scanned images. So if you don't mind is directions are different, please post both. Thanks for your help.

Hi Cynthia,

I think we might have to write a book to answer you questions....

1. We scan the picture ( yours is digital so that means you must have or will have to get a software program that will down load the digital print from the camera to the computer.

2. Once the picture is somewhere in the computer you will probably save it as a .gif or convert it to a .bmp

3. open up Graphix Advantage

4. click on file, the menu drops down and there should be a "place image" or "import" command there somewhere. Click on it.

5. A screen should pop up and then you will have to type in where the picture is stored.

click on "C" for the c drive. Then find the program the picture is stored in...like Corel, or Jobs, or Yada yada yada. Further down is a box that wants to know what kind of file its looking for... like .gif .bmp yada yada yada. fill that in also.

Then your picture should open in GA.

Now....you cant assign colors to a photo. A photo is a photo....its not a shape you can fill with colors.

If your photo needs to be color corrected you must do that in a photo paint program such as Corel Photo Paint.

Gerber can only print your picture...nothing more. To get the picture on a T-shirt you will have to use the proper foils and Edge printable heat transfer papers

Of couurse you can add text and assign a color to that text and bring it to the front and even set it on top of the picture.

If you have a digital camera, then you must have the associated program to download photo's and adjust color and sharpness. In that program you should be able to crop and re-size, and do several manipulations. When you select PRINT, your program might have the option to FIT TO PAGE. There is a transfer paper that goes into any inkjet printer that gets transfered onto light colored shirts. You can also take the photo to most copy shops and re-size and print onto transfer paper from their high resolution coppiers. Ther results will be much clearer.
