I have a client that asked if I could paint her shiny chrome store display fixtures black.
They will get alot of abuse, since most of them will have clothes hangers scraping across them all day.
I told her I didn't think it would work, but I'd run the question by the "EXPERTS"....
Thanks in advance!

Chrome can be painted using XIM flash bond as a primer. I have painted wheels and bumpers with this method. Whether or not this method would hold up to the abuse of hangers dragging accross it all day, however, is doubtful. Powder coating might be a better bet, but probably cost prohibitive. I would suggest some black pvc pipe to fit over the fixtures if possible.
