How do you charge for sandblasted signs these days ? For example a fancy 4 ft x 6 ft sign ? Do you price the same way for high density foam ? Things seem to have changed a bit over the last few years .

Shon, good wood or HDU will still be around $500, good rubber will add another fifty, blasting another hundred, primer and paints another seventy. Then start figuring your time. I'd start around $4200, and if it's more complicated or two sided it can jump up to the $6000 mark.

I get very few requests for sb signs these days but I got one and am finishing it as we write/read. I found that brand new #111 would not stick to either surface...primed or not. I had to spray with 3M #77 to get it through the blasting sequence. No worries, 77 is so weak it came right off when done. What're you goin' to do these days. ps: and no more Frog Juice, either?

I see Frog Juice listed as a product offered by Ronan paint on their website. Quart or aerosol can.

Jer, I don't remember what 111 is, but I've been using Anchor 116 with on problems on raw dry wood. On tile I've been using 126.

I still do HDU and wood signs on my CNC router for a large sign company. I charge between $85 and $100 sf. Single sided....if it's for a customer of mine....I'll also add a design fee of $150 to $200. This 4x6 sign would cost about $2800. A sign like this would be ready to pickup in about 4 days. The materials cost about $500. Sometimes I charge a little more for the design/logo.
