I have seen ghost reflective lettering on Police vehicles online. They used white reflective on white vehicles and black reflective on black vehicles for this effect. I lettered a logo on a silver truck in white reflective and then overlaid it with light grey translucent vinyl, but it doesn't reflect at night. Is there another vinyl that would allow the letters to be reflective at night? Maybe having reflective white material printed grey is the only way for this to work. Any suggestions?

At first I thought you were talking about Ghost signs, as in old faded wall signs!
Printing gray should work, as long as the inks are transparent. I used to print CMYK images with my Gerber Edge on reflective vinyl with good results.

Thanks for your response, Chuck. I have seen an ambulance with green translucent applied over white reflective vinyl but I never checked to see if it was reflective.
Hey my grandson is stationed at MCRD, San Diego.
