And yet another good old sign movie. "Larceny Inc" Made in 1942, staring the great, Edward G. Robinson. Lot of hand painted signs in the movie, plus it's a really good movie.

Woody Guthrie stated out as a sign painter. In the movie, "Bound For Glory" there's a scene of him painting a sign propped up on a chair. However, the actor who portrays Woody, David Carradine, was not a skilled brush handler. Not sure that Woody was, either.
