I just wondered a month or so ago how he was doing. Si was a nice man.

Very sad indeed

Curtis, After reading your post, I too realized it had been a while since I heard from Si in a while. I looked for his obituary, but was unsuccessful. Please post it if you come across it. Certainly a life worth remembering

[Cool]

i don't think there will be a death notice.
We spoke of alternatives all the time. He knew he was short time..

After gavin passed he was different.
And said he didn't want any big service.. Just do what he wanted and no big party..

I got word from a family member.
They did not know how extensive Si' internet and sign family was.

So they asked to have his passing posted because they knew that is what Si wanted.

That is very sad to hear! He was one of my first chat friends on here, when we first joined. Dennis just said the other day that he hasn't received any emails from him ...so we had been wondering.
Never met him in person, but always hoped too! RIP Si Allen ...

Si was a great chat pal. I was fortunate to meet him and his wife in person on two occassions. A fountain of knowledge in many areas. Always ready to share. And what a character too. I had may laughs with him and the gang on MIrc. Miss you Sci.

This is truly sad news for all of us, but Si is back with Marty now, and I am sure that makes him happy. Rest in peace ol buddy. You will be sorely missed.

I recall meeting him back in the 80's at a McLogan supply open house party in L.A. and speaking to him on the phone a couple of times. A great personality.

That's a shame. He was a knowledgeable person and you always knew where he stood on things. I had a fun time visiting with him at a meet in Oklahoma City. I may have met him on other occasions but that was the one that stood out in my mind. He'll certainly be missed.

I first talked to him when I was 17 hoping to get some tips on lettering and sign painting... his response was classic Si, I'll never forget it. RIP Si...
