I am replacing a stripe on a firetruck that was damaged. I plan on using 3M 680CR light blue vinyl and the stripe is shaped like a "Z" and the corners of the z on the old graphic have a black bleed to give the appearance of the striping being folded. It's been a long time since I airbrushed or painted on vinyl, much less reflective, and I wondered what type of paint (if any) is recommended for something of this nature?

Gary,
One option is a can of Krylon spray paint.
If using an airbrush, I like using black lettering enamel with some Frog Juice mixed in. One benefit is that you can control the opaqueness of the paint when putting in the shadow effect by the ratio of paint to FrogJuice you use.

I've had good luck in the past with one shot thinned with lacquer thinner.
