"I got the all-night laundromat blues.
Washin' everything I own except my shoes!
If yer gonna wear clothes, you gotta pay your dues,
With them all-night laundromat blues ..."

Can anyone remember who did that on their album?

Y'all are all old enough to remember . . . lol

Advice for young men!

Do not hit up on gals at the laundromat!

If they cannot afford a washing machine ... then they cannot afford buying nice things for you!

I was going to say Eddie Rabbit... but I don't think that is correct.

Not me; "........mommy scrubbed our clothes on a warshboard ever'day."

I guess my mother was a bit more advanced Wayne...she had a wringer washing machine. Still had to hang the wash out on a clothes line though...Sometimes that was my job and sometimes I got my butt smacked if I didn't do it right.

The "good ole days" sometimes weren't all that good.

But the music WAS!

I was referencing a Loretta Lynn song, Dave. No, Mom used a a wringer washer before I was born, but all I remember are the "slinger" washing machines with spin cycles. Now, my Mom and Wife have the computerized outfits with all kinds of bells and whistles. My Wife's machine even plays music. I saw one in Lowes recently with a digital screen on it, playing a video. Why? [I Don t Know]
