Wondering if I will now need to upgrade from Corel x3 too? Didn't know if there would be any issues.

I've also been using x3 with windows 7 pro 64 bit for a couple years now. Works fine for me.
Inside windows 7, I'm also running virtual machine with xp, which allowed me to install and run my 6.6 v1 of flexi without an upgrade. (I think the 7 pro version is required for the xp install)

Yes CorelDraw X3 works fine on Win 7 64 bit. BUT if you are using an older cutter to cut from CorelDraw, you might/probably will need an XP machine to run it. Just network the two computers to transfer files or just use the XP machine for CorelDraw.

good to know don........i had a BETA version WIN 7 and loaded as 64 bit 1st time. couldnt get it to cut. reloaded it as 32 bit........and it worked fine...........seems they fixed that since the beta version. ONE THING WITH WIN 7 makea backup of your EMAIL ADDY'S.....WIN 7 DONT come with email program and when you upgrade say from VISTA to WIN 7.........IT LOSES ALL THE EMAILS!!!!!!

Another question...since xp is no longer supported, will I have trouble with my setup since I'm using virtual machine with xp? Everything works fine, so I see no reason for any new updates, and the xp side is never used for the internet.
Can't I go into xp and turn off the updates?

MOST of the XP updates are fixes for backdoors the hackers and virus people exploit. if you not on the internet, XP should run till the hard drive dies....

Tony, I tried the 64 bit version of Win 7 and couldn't get Flexi 7.62 to work. Got the 32 bit version and it works fine. I'd love to have the 64 bit but don't want to upgrade everything else.

Rick did you try windows 7 pro? Had to download virtual machine and xp, which was a free download but a large one. Opened xp and installed flexi, and created a shortcut on my windows 7 desktop. When starting flexi, I have to right click on the computer icon in the task tray, attach the usb hasp key and the usb/serial cable. It's a bit of a workaround, but does work. If you leave flexi open all day, you only need to do this the first time in the morning.

Rick, I think the best option would be to use the VMware player, instead of the built-in Hyper V client in Windows 8.
VMware also has a free tool, called vCenter Converter Standalone, which will allow you to clone an existing XP install on an old computer into a virtual machine.
I even use the VMware player for virtual xp on my Win 7 Ultimate computer.
