I work in version 8.0 of SVP on XP. In the process of installing a new hard drive with Windows 7 installed. My laptop is Windows 8.1. Don's mind saying I hate 8.1.

While XP machine is being upgraded to 7, I installed SVP on the laptop, but it will not recognize the HASP Dongle. Can anyone tell me what to do? Is the dongle going to work with Windows 7? That is the most important because that is my shop computer. I was just trying to use my 8.1 laptop while the other machine is in the shop. Thanks to all who can help me with this.

By the way I asked my computer tech to install Windows 7 in 32 bit not 64 bit.

Thanks to all for your help. This is an awesome place.

IT SHOULD WORK IN WINDOWS 7 32 BIT. WINDOWS 8.1..........is probably 64 bit from the get go. and thats why it wont regogonize a 32 bit hasp.

Thanks Joe. It occurred to me after I posted about 8.1 that it is 64 bit - not 32 bit.

Thanks for your help.

Shirley,

I went thru the same problem last week.

Bought a new computer Windows 7, had my 'guy' build it for me and had it made 32 bit.

Flexi loaded fine but wouldn't open - didn't recognize the doggle.

Problem solved by uninstalling software - install HASP key download (found one on Google) and reinstalling software.

It's working fine so far.

I was told by CadLink that my version of SignLab 7 would not work with Windows 7 and that I would have to pay to upgrade. I am working SignLab now on an old refurbished Windows XP. I use Windows 7 on my other computer for everything else.
