Joe,

Looks, to me, like the guy who "designed" these "logos" went through the whole repertoire of fonts in his computer "designing program".........and just typed in the Yahoo name using a different font, each time.

He/she must have made a fortune by just providing so many options to the customer......I do hope he/she got paid for this.

Nothing like "click and drag" logo design".......Makes a designer out of anyone.

That is just my opinion.

i heard on one of the news programs.....
that when they designed this logo the exclamation mark was manipulated to a 9 DEGREE TILT... to make it more "playful." hahahahahahahahahaha

The article quotes Marissa Meyer as saying they didn't want any straight lines in the logo because
"straight lines are extremely rare in nature".

Oh really? Hasn't she ever looked at a snowflake? Or any other crystal for that matter? Those are fairly common, I hear.

No way these are serous contributions from a real marketing firm.

More likely none of the 29 are actual contenders and are only presented to make the new logo appear magnificent in comparison.

I won't hold my breath on that.

I'm starting to like the one on the right a little better now.

a good clean modern approach, non offending & professional.

Yahoo has changed a great deal & is dong a great job in meeting the future, a logo change like this is way better then alot of big corp logo changes & still keeps the action the old one had

As it turns out, the CEO designed the new logo, with no outside professional involved.

Brilliant decision for a company named "yahoo".

Roy,

Your posts have holes. The analog post holes you used to deal with work better than the digital ones.

They all look like they were designed by the janitor's nephew.

How bad off is Yahoo that the CEO "designs" their logo update instead of hiring pros? Boggles the mind.
