Hey Heads, I'm arriving in Chicago for a couple of days before the Kewanee Walldog event. Anyone else flying into O'Hare or Midway? I'd like to go to the Art Institute one day and Buddy Guys on Monday night. I see the Cubs have a home game at Wrigley on Tuesday night. Anybody want to join me? I can also give anyone a ride to Kewanee on Wednesday morning.

Hey Brent
We are only up the road about an hour from Chicago and I would head down there to meet up...but I think I will be in Kewanee from the 6th - 14th.
I have so much fun at these things, I decided to go several days early!
Hope you can find someone to tour the Windy City with....see you soon.

That's a long time in Kewanee Dale. Getting a head start on your project? Well, if nobody bites before too long I'm going to order a Cubs ticket and go by myself LOL! I love to visit Chicago... lived there for a while in the 60's and took a class at the Art Institute one summer... fond memories.

I'd love to do Buddy Guy's with you Brent, but I think that week is going to be too crazy to commit.
We're about 100 miles from downtown Chicago and I try to avoid the place, but Buddy's is always a good time. I like to get there around 4ish for the first set (usually acoustic blues -- solo acts, etc.) ... that way you can get a good seat. We like to eat during the 2nd set (food's excellent) the 2nd set is usually a good band and it allows you to get fully nice before the third set which usually has a big time act and sometimes even Buddy himself. Great fun ... enjoy!
By the way both the Cubs and Sox suck this year.

Bill, you're a fun guy to go blues bar hoppin' with! I went to Buddy's after your Pontiac Walldog and had a great time. I see Lil' Ed is at Blues on Halsted after the Cubs came but that would be too late a night just before the drive to Kewanee.
We went to the Boom Boom Room in San Francisco a couple of weeks ago and stayed out 'til 3. Boy did this old fart feel like crap the next morning!
Oh yeah... I just want to go to Wrigley. If the Cubs lose it ain't gonna break my heart. I'm officially a Giants fan now .
