Back in the early 80's as I worked in an art store selling brushes of all kinds and finding my way to sign painting apprenticeship, a customer came to me and told me about a movie called "Avalon", in which the door was painted with scenery. I did rent the movie and saw it was so beautiful. Now just thinking about it with Alicia's post about old movie signs, and although this isn't signage, it is a possibility and this jogged my memory. Why couldn't it be a way to letter signs also on screens? Wow, now that would be unique.
Must admit did not think it would look that good thank you

Craig I didn't see these until I pulled them up yesterday, hoping to find the one in Avalon. Although these are folk art, wouldn't it be interesting to perhaps create vintage signage on screens also? ..Just a thought of another way to advertise or bring nostalgia back and even higher quality could be achieved.

deb,you might like this old 7up ad on a screen door insert.
The Seven-up has been painted on very thick so from the other side it will be seen. On the other hand, I have been putting logos on screen store fronts for years. I use a mask and then spray, from the outside you see it, from the inside looking out, just a screen door.

They are very interesting; thanks, Bill, Craig and Sam! How would I be able to see more of them? I really like them a lot.
